Just south of Vientiane, along the muddy meandering path of that coffee coloured Mother of antiquity, the Mekong, a colossal field of Buddhas lies dreaming.

This glorious and apparently ancient field is in fact a modern illusion begun in 1958 by Buddhist Priest/Shaman Luang Pu who dreamt of a synthesis between Buddhism and Hinduism. So a concrete cavalcade of deities was born, Bhuddas, Angels, Demons and animals frolic across the field.
Some are made of rock…others are born to rock.
