We stumbled across Randy’s Book Exchange whilst traipsing around this paradisical town.
First, some background on Randy. Here he is at about four years of age in Southern California, Ike was in the White House and the war in Vietnam was purely a French affair.
Randy recalls an enterprising fellow doing the rounds with a palimino pony, a rack of cowboy and cowgirl gear and a box brownie camera.
A few short years later here is Randy on holiday in Mexico. He had visited Disneyland 27 times and met Walt Disney and Fess Parker.
Eventually, life being what it is and bringing what it does and the demand for Cowboys dwindling, The Cowboys and gauchos turned into bookworms, as they do, but this bookworm had an adventurous bent, and somehow ended up here in this little slice of heaven selling used books to the odd traveller, tourist and backpacker.

This is more than a used bookshop. This is a lifestyle.
And it can all be yours ! For $100,000 US you can have the house (leased) plus bookshop and stock.
One teensy weensy caveat. The shop is a metre underwater for a couple of days every couple of years but hey, that’s Hoi An folks and this is the tropics.
